Ol' House... Isn't - It's New & Improved
New
Kitchen
Our new
kitchen, completed in late ’03, is working out superbly. While our business
model hadn’t dictated a major kitchen renovation the State of New Hampshire did.
The old kitchen, which served thousands of happy Pierce’s Inn guests, was ready for an update. We expanded 8 feet into the dining room and three feet into the furnace room and went up two feet. We ended
up with a 30’x 12’ space with 9’ ceilings. We walled off the
family kitchen to separate the two areas. Lots of new equipment including a monster
Hobart dishwasher which has 45 second cycles! Looking back, we don’t know how we did with out it. Pictures
Bunk Room
We unveiled
the renovated downstairs back bunkroom at Thanksgiving '04. It had undergone
a unique settling process over the past 30 years. Our nephews called it the “drunk
simulator”. We tore out the old floor put in better drainage rebuilt the
foundation added new footings and a new eye-beam. A new floor, new carpet, new
walls, new windows, new pine paneling and the place is luxurious! Pictures
